Acetaia Guerzoni: Resilient Recovery After the 2012 Earthquake
Acetaia Guerzoni was featured in La Repubblica, one of Italy's leading newspapers, in an article published on Friday. The piece focused on Emilian entrepreneurs who were affected by the 2012 earthquake and managed to rebuild their businesses with the help of the Brave Circle Fund.
Lorenzo Guerzoni, the owner of Acetaia Guerzoni, shared with La Repubblica how the earthquake severely impacted his company, destroying some aged vinegar and a warehouse designated for the Chinese market. Initially, Guerzoni sought a loan from his bank to cover the repair costs, but his request was denied.
Fortunately, thanks to the Brave Circle Fund established by successful entrepreneur Renzo Rosso, Lorenzo Guerzoni received 30,000 euros. This financial aid allowed him to purchase a container and a shed, essential for restarting his operations. Today, Acetaia Guerzoni has successfully re-entered the US market and expanded its presence in countries such as China and Japan.
Lorenzo Guerzoni's story is one of several from the region, as other Emilian entrepreneurs also benefited from the fund, which totaled 5 million euros. This support has been crucial in helping many businesses recover and thrive after the disaster.
